I recently enjoyed a lovely short holiday at the Occidental hotel, where I found the rooms spacious and clean, with each upgrade providing delightful amenities and views. The pool area was pristine, and the evening entertainment was varied, though some aspects could use improvement, especially regarding seating and dining service. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money and a comfortable stay, despite minor inconveniences.

During my stay, I was pleasantly surprised by the engaging children's mini club, which allowed me to enjoy some downtime while my kids had a blast. The hotel is well-maintained and offers a variety of food options, although the evening dining experience felt a bit chaotic and less special than I'd hoped. The ambiance in the entertainment lounge could use some improvement as well, especially concerning the acoustics. However, I did appreciate the free shuttle service to explore nearby attractions effortlessly.

Overall, I found the hotel to have some strong positives, like the clean and modern rooms and a great breakfast that had plenty of choices. However, the location was a bit far from town which might not suit everyone, and the dining experience could be chaotic during peak meal times. While we enjoyed the pools, they could have been a bit warmer for a more inviting swim.
